Preston Rentals hit the slopes at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort – SuperDeck® 2.6 

Offering innovative strategies for any challenge on site, Preston Rentals provided a material handling solution for SMC Construction’s project at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming. Luxury condominiums were under construction at the base of the ski resort, yet site constraints posed challenges in material loading. With ductwork already in place and the exterior enveloped in scaffolding, only narrow openings allowed for the passage of necessary building supplies.

Preston Rentals devised the perfect solution to address the issue by supplying SMC Construction with 4 units of 2.6 SuperDecks. At just 8’6” in width, these SuperDecks facilitated material handling within the narrow openings available while also offering an impressive lifting capacity of 11,000lbs. Due to limited available ground space, SMC Construction engaged their mobile crane to pick up the decks and position them for installation. We look forward to solving more material handling issues for SMC Construction in the future.

Our SuperDecks scaled new heights in Arizona – SuperDeck® 4.2 

Clayco, a returning client, faced the challenge of delivering 11-foot-wide materials into three towers under construction in Tempe, Arizona. Once finished, these 18-story towers will serve as mixed-use buildings, featuring residential condominiums and office spaces. The Preston Rentals team knew the 4.2 SuperDeck was perfect for the task at hand. Our widest deck at 13’9”, the 4.2 SuperDeck® efficiently facilitated the loading and transportation of the bulky materials, which included wide windows and air handling units, meeting Clayco’s requirements for delivery into the structure.

This rental agreement spans the long term, with project completion anticipated no sooner than December 2025. Additionally, two 4.2 SuperDecks will be integrated over the rental duration. With safety always front of mind, Preston Rentals will return regularly to inspect the decks and the site to ensure safe practice.

We provided the material handling solution for ASU’s Polytechnic campus expansion – SuperDeck® 3.2 

McCarthy Building Companies once again turned to Preston Rentals for our renowned retractable loading platform system, the SuperDeck®. Our involvement was sought to address the material handling needs for Arizona State University’s $185 million expansion of their Polytechnic campus at Mesa. The campus’s largest expansion and investment in campus history, the project involves the construction of a 173,194 square foot, three-story building dedicated to the new School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks.

To tackle the challenge posed by restricted material access due to on-site pillars, we supplied McCarthy with 2 units of 3.2 SuperDecks. At 10’6”, these were the widest decks compatible with the structure. McCarthy is delighted with our solution, and the decks will remain on-site for approximately 6-8 months during the completion of the campus expansion project.

Walters & Wolf, a longstanding client, engaged Preston Rentals to supply a loading platform for the construction of Civic Plaza in downtown Las Vegas. This new $165 million dollar, 5-story office and retail development is positioned directly across from Town Hall and will span an entire city block. Walters & Wolf knew exactly who to call for their material handling needs. They needed to load wide glass panels into the structure and transport them over an open section of floors below.

Preston Rentals recommended our widest deck at 13’9”, the 4.2 SuperDeck®. Utilizing our 2-prop method, we installed the SuperDeck seamlessly. This made for smooth loading of materials directly into the building.
